The Runnin’ Rattlers are off to a great start this summer! This week we will be moving to different locations for practices: See practice schedule and meeting information below:
Monday- August 14th- High School
— 3 Mile easy run with stretching
Tuesday- August 15th- Ramon Lucio Park (Little League Fields)
— 2 mile tempo run, followed by 200m build up strides x 8
Wednesday- August 16th- Former Texas State Golf Course
— 3 mile run followed by 8x 100m up hill sprints
Thursday- August 17th- Ramon Lucio Park (Little League Fields)
— 4-6 mile easy run followed by core workout
Friday- August 18th- High School
— 30 min easy run on field.
Saturday- August 19th- ON YOUR OWN
Sunday- August 20th- ON YOUR OWN
Saturday or Sunday- Runners need to do one workout on their own. Running 20 minutes-1 hour on their own. Runners should try to run 4-8 miles by themselves.
The first race of the season is right around the corner on August 26th here in San Marcos! We will be hosting 10-15 teams and plan to have a great showing at the race. A parents meeting will be on Monday, August 23rd at 6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. All parents and athletes need to attend.
