Multiple Teams · Miller Football Week 4: vs Simon MS

Miller 7th “B” team played a hard fought football game last night but unfortunately there is no overtime so the game ended in a tie. 6-6 against Simon middle school. The boys continue to work hard every week and its continuing to show both on the field and in the classroom. Rattler of the Week: Malakai Lobo-Kay

The 7th grade A team fought Simon until the end but fell just short 12-13 last night in Kyle. In the first half, King Diaz scored on a long quarterback keep, while Kris Trevino punched in a goal line touchdown in the second half. The defense,as always, played tough, forcing fumbles and making tackles all night. We are very proud of the way our team responded to last week, so stay focused and keep up the effort! Rattler of the week is Waylon Mitchell for stepping up to a new position, doing extremely well in the game, and for having a positive attitude all week.

The 8th Grade football team won their game against Simon last night 46-0. Nate Henry recovered 2 fumbles and an onside kick while also catching a touchdown pass from Zach Rodriguez. Zach also threw 3 more touchdown passes for the game. 2 touchdowns to Benito Canales and 1 to Jordan Sierra. Jordan Recio also scored on two long runs for a couple of Rattler touchdowns. Edgar Lopez, Nick Jones and Joe Pineda did a great job on the offensive and defensive line as they made tackles in the backfield and secured their blocks on offense. The Rattler of the week was Jordan Recio for his great performance on offense and defense. The band did an awesome job pumping up the crowd and motivating the players. Thanks to all the teachers that showed up for teacher appreciation night.
