Cross Country State Qualifier

Junior Gabby Guerrero qualified for the State Cross Country meet next weekend, by placing 11th overall at the Region IV cross country championships. She covered the 5K course in 20:45.

Regional Qualifier

At the District 27-5A cross country meet, freshman Mary Finch placed 8th overall, which qualified her for the Region IV championships in Corpus next week.

Junior Gabby Guerrero placed 3rd overall, qualifying her for the Regional Cross Country Championships in Corpus next week.

Cross Country Regional Qualifiers

The men’s varsity cross country team ran a great team race Thursday morning, as they placed 2nd overall and qualified for the Region IV cross country championships, to be held in Corpus Christi on Monday Oct. 26th. The team was led by junior Owen McGlothlin who placed 1st overall and was the District Champion.

Runnin Rattlers

Last week at the Chaparral invitational senior Laura Rivas ran the race of her life and set a personal best by 3 minutes and garnered Runner of the Week honors.

District Cross Country Meet

Its a GD2BR, with the varsity men’s placing 2nd overall at the District 27 5A cross country championships. The varsity girls team placed 5th overall, with junior Gabby Guerrero and freshman Mary Finch placing in the top 10 individually, and also qualifying for the Regional cross country meet in Corpus Christi on Monday Oct. 26th.

Junior Jarred Bernal garnered Runner of the Week for his effort this week as he continues to improve each week.

In her first cross country race of the season, sophomore Mia Diaz placed 49th overall out of over 200 runners. She covered the 3 mile course in 24:19.

Senior Nick Reyes ran the race of his life as he set a personal best running 17:40 and 2 minutes off his previous best over the 3 mile course.

Sophomore Edie Allmand had her best race of the season as placed 4th for the Rattlers. Edie covered the hilly 3 mile in 22:40.
